Clarus Environmental’s distributor in South Africa has partnered with another South African company to create a “self-contained sanitation unit” utilizing Fusion® wastewater treatment technology. This mobile bathroom unit consists of showers, sinks and toilets. The effluent from these amenities is treated and partially recycled onsite for the toilet flushing process. The system has the flexibility to be solar-powered or plugged in electrically, allowing for a multitude of possible applications. In South Africa, these units will be utilized to provide clean, low-maintenance facilities for “informal housing developments”.
