Effluent Pumps
Effluent or dewatering submersible pumps for septic tank, low pressure pipe (LPP) and enhanced flow STEP systems.
The Zoeller Pump Models 51 and 142 are versatile workhorses for effluent applications. The low flow design of the pump was engineered originally for STEP applications in which the pump, protected from septic solids by a filtered vault, moves effluent directly out of the septic tank without the need for an additional pump tank. Higher flow pumps in that environment cause agitation within the septic tank, disrupt the sludge and scum formations, and lead to maintenance headaches. The model 51 produces a maximum flow of 18 gpm at 5’ of TDH and can reach 21’ at shutoff. The model 142 produces a maximum flow of 18 gpm at 5’ of TDH and can reach an impressive 62 feet at shutoff! The pumps have a powder coated, cast iron housing and are capable of passing 1/2” spherical solids.
